AweSOME Santa Claus

My kids got to sit on Santa's lap at our Ward Christmas party. We waited in line for about thirty minutes, I THINK it was worth it. Marlise thinks she is too old (or too cool) to sit on his lap, so I didn't get one of her. I should have made her sit on his lap, but by the time my boys got to sit on his lap, I couldn't find Marlise. So, Santa won't know what she want's this year for Christmas, so she might not be getting anything. Oh well, she can play with all of Cameron's and David's toy's they get.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BRUSH ALL OF YOUR TEETH

JUST THE ONE'S YOU WANT TO KEEP!
That was a saying we had on my kids bathroom mirror in our other house.

My kids went to the dentist for a cleaning, I think I worry about it way more then they do, they actually like to go (kind of). They looked so cute in the dentist chairs I had to take a picture of them. I'm happy to report that none of them had any cavities.
I think the saying worked!!!

No more dentist for 6 more months!!!

DAVID'S 5th Birthday PARTY!!

David turned five and wanted a Star Wars party. I decided I wanted it to be easy so we went to the park for a picnic. I made Jedi outfits for them to wear, and got blow up light sabers for them to play at the park with. All of the boys had a lot of fun, and I was happy I didn't have to entertain them the whole time. He wanted a light saber cake, so out of cupcakes I made a light saber (you have to use your imagination). It ended up a success, and he thinks he's all grown up now because he's 5.

Mark Jonas

Mark and Marlise were looking through a magazine of hers, it was all about the Jonas Brothers. Mark noticed in all of the pictures of them, at least one of them were wearing some sort of scarf. He said something to Marlise about it, and she said it was the style. So Mark and I were out running errands, and he got a bandana to tease Marlise with it. We get home, he puts it on and goes about his business. Marlise sees it and just rolls her eyes. She knows Mark well, and knows he's all about joking around. He wore that thing all day, I tried to get a picture of him, but this is as good as it gets. He never lets me take random pictures of him. Of course he would never go out in public with it.

Black Friday!

It's Carol's and my tradition to go shopping on Black Friday! We go out at four in the morning, and hit all the stores that we can. We have a system down, one of us stands in line while the other goes and gets their stuff, and then we switch. That way we don't have to waste a lot of time standing in line. We look forward to it every year, and get a lot of our Christmas shopping done, while saving lots of money.

We had to eat something, we needed all the energy we could get.

Waiting in line.

Still having fun.

Still waiting.

Look at all of our stuff!

BITE ME!!!

Carol and I went to see TWILIGHT the first showing, Friday morning 12:00 a.m. TWILIGHT was playing in eight theaters, they were all sold out weeks ago. I know, we were with some die hard crazy fans (including us). You should have heard the crowd scream when it started, when Edward came on screen, and lots of other times. We had a blast, we were very happy we went, and we LOVED the movie. We really want Edward (or any of them actually) to BITE us. Move over Mark, you have some competition!!

I went the next night and saw it with Marlise. She loved it also, but still hasn't read all of the book. I think she'll love it even more when she finishes the book. We both saw it twice and want to go again, we can't get enough of the Cullen's. I know I'm a pathetic fan, but proud of it!!!

Sleeping AGAIN

Mark loves to take pictures of me sleeping while in the car. Everytime we are on a road trip, if I fall asleep, he takes a picture. I was going through our pictures and found one of Eric and Brian. I had to post them becuase it's usually just me sleeping, I was happy that we has some of other people. Sorry Eric and Brian, you can blame Mark for taking a picture of you while sleeping.

Soccer Boys

Cameron and David both are playing soccer this season. They both love it, and are getting better with each game they play. It's fun to see them out there playing, Cameron's team, since he is older, is actually organized and they each have a position. David's team since he is only 4, they all run for the ball and try to kick it. We will see if they stick to soccer or something else. Cameron is telling me now that he want's to play football. We shall see.

Trunk-R-Treat

We had our Trunk-R-Treat last night, we had a great time. I let my kids think of what they wanted to be, and use the stuff from around our house. I figured we have a lot of costumes around the house they could come up with something. David wanted to be Darth Vador, it was a costume Cameron wore a few years ago. Cameron wanted to be a mummy, so we tore up sheets and wrapped them around him. I bet you'll never guess what Marlise wanted to be, hint(I.'m a barbie girl in a barbie world) ya you guessed it, a barbie. I bought her a blond wig, but she didn't want to wear it. I tried to get her creative juices flowing, but she didn't want anything to do with what I suggested (teenagers).

Ice Blockin Is So Utah

So my friend Amy was telling me she went ice blocking with her kids, and I decided that I wanted to take my kids to go ice blocking also. I went a few times as a teenager in Utah and it was a ton of fun!! So I wanted to make it a "family night" with our family here. We had a picnic and then did a ton of ice blocking. The funnest part was when we did a train with all of us (except Mark and Brian). We would all crash before we hit the bottom, some would lose their ice block and still go sliding without it. We missed Eric and Brenda and the kids, maybe we'll have to go again sometime so they can come. :)

My Night of the Curse (#5)

I decided to go on a ride along last night with Mark. Mark's mom came to sleep over with our kids, and I was free to go all night. This was my fifth time going, and I thought I would break my curse, since it's been a year since my last ride along. The curse is, I go on a ride along and we hear crickets all night long (in other words, it's totally dead). Both of his brothers have ridden along, and had lots of action and cool stuff going on. So I was crossing my fingers that I would get to see some action and break my curse.

So off I went to work last night with Mark. We got there, they had briefing, and then we got in the patrol car to go find some people to pull over. Mark got called to some calls where someone pushed the emergency button, and didn't answer when the police were called. He has to go to the place where they pushed the button and make sure no one is hurt or in trouble. So it was pushed in a new apartment resort place on campus (and it was like a really nice resort you would pay big money to stay at somewhere). I was impressed with it, and I was almost wanting to go back to College days and be able to live there (ALMOST).

Then Mark pulled over a couple people for expired tags, but nothing panned out, we did get to drive with lights and sirens for a whole five seconds. Mark got called to some dorm rooms for marjiuna smell, but the Mark and the other officer didn't find anything. I did get to see a dorm room, which was nice, and Mark said it was not like the usuall messy ones.

Then we got bored and I told Mark I was sad that I didn't get to see him handcuff someone, so he handcuffed me (they wanted to put me in the back of the patrol car, but I had to draw the line somewhere). So around two in the morning, I was tired and decided to go to sleep in their zzzz room, of course right after I went in there to go to sleep, they got a DUI and some other fun stuff that I was sleeping through of course. So I still have a curse, and one of these times I'm going to break it.

Our New House

Here's our new house. My sister has been begging me to post it. Mark told me I shouldn't, and they'll have to come visit. :) Been here 5 days and loving it so far. We met some of the neighbors, they seem nice.

Good Bye Old, Hello New

Our kids wanted to go say goodbye to our old house last night. Today it closed, so it's no longer our house. We wanted to get a picture of them in the empty house.

We went home to our new house, and the kids wanted to take a picture there. They wanted to act like they were rock stars!

Floating Cans

I was packing my pantry and got to the very back of it, and much to my suprise I saw this. Mark and I had a good laugh about it. I guess that's what happens when you don't use the food in the back of your pantry.

School Already?

David started preschool a couple of weeks ago, yes he's old enough. I don't know where the time went with him. I still think of him as my little baby (of course he is my baby). He was very excited to start school, and goes with his best friend. He is loving it, and has already learned a lot in just a couple of weeks.

Back By Popular Demand

When I was learning how to blog, I made the mistake of telling Mark my username and password so he could show me how to do some stuff. I went to bed and when I woke up and checked my blog, I saw this picture of me really big at the top. What Mark didn't know was I had already given out the address to Amy, so she saw it before I had a chance to take it down.

Image not found

I made a deal with Michelle Rasor that I would show her if she invited me to her blog, so here it is. Enjoy, but not too much.

"Are We Star Wars Dudes?"

David was on the phone today with his buddy, and I heard him keep saying, "Are we Star Wars dudes?" Him and his friend Ericson LOVE Star Wars. They play Lego Star Wars, they play with light sabers, and they play with the little action figures of Star Wars. David will go around all the time making light saber noises. Yoda would say "Jedi you want to be".

Going Once, Going Twice, Sold!

We put our house on the market on August 23. The next day we got an offer. It was over our asking price (and they say the market is bad). The next day after that we got another offer, but we already signed on the first offer so there couldn't be a bidding war (darn it). We're excited for our new house, but we will deffinetly miss our neighborhood and being so close to our friends. We will never forget the memories that we have here in this house for the last five years. Don't worry, our friends aren't getting rid of us that easily. We will still see them lots. We move in a week. I'll post our new house soon.

We're All Together

We haven't all (Mark's siblings) been together in a long time. Mark's brother Paul and his new girlfriend came down from Provo to visit us all last spring. He wanted us to meet his girlfriend Tami, which we did, and loved her. Come back soon Paul and Tami.

Now & Then

Isn't it amazing how time flies? This is Marlise and her friend Kaitlyn from the first day of school back in 3rd grade and now in 7th grade.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

Marlise had a ton of fun this summer with her girl cousin (there aren't many). My mom and I went to the dollar store and the girls were dying for shower caps (who knows why). They had a ton of fun wearing them around my parents' house (of course nowhere else, they're teenagers).

Cameron was my Dad's Slave for the Summer

My dad loved having Cameron scratch his head and hands. Everytime we would all be visiting, and Cameron wasn't playing with cousins, my dad would put Cameron to work. Cameron is such a sweet boy, he would never say no (everyone else would but him). All his hard work paid off in the end and he got paid right before we left (a whole 10 dollars). Thanks, Dad, for putting Cameron to work when he was bored.

Summer with Cousins

We had a blast this summer visiting all of our cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. We miss everyone already, and can't wait to see everyone again!! Maybe they'll come visit. (hint hint)

Moroni Rising to the Sky

My parents live right across from the new Draper Temple that is being built and almost done. When we were up there this summer visiting (getting away from the heat), we got the pleasure to witness Moroni being put onto the top of the Temple. It was a very special event, and my mom and sisters and kids all got to be there for it. The Spirit was strong and I will never forget the feeling I felt when he was being lifted up to the top. Every time we visit my parents I will remember that day.

Look At That Shiner

David fell down the stairs and hit the tile just right. I took him to the doctor and everything was fine except for a big shiner on his head. It took weeks for the swelling to go down and it's still not all the way down yet almost two and a half months later.
